Just Drafted in 10 Team H2H Non-Keeper. WHIR!!

Postby mm92280 » Mon Aug 24, 2009 11:35 pm

I just finished up my draft in a 10-team H2H non-keeper yahoo league with standard scoring with one roster exception: we must start 2 QBs every week.

With that said, here is my team:

QB: T. Brady
QB: T. Edwards
RB: L. Tomlinson
RB: C. Johnson
WR: TJ Houschmanzadeh
WR: V. Jackson
WR/TE: D. Jackson
WR/RB: P. Thomas
TE: C. Cooley
K: N. Kaeding
DEF: Carolina

Bench:

J. Delhomme (QB)
D. McFadden (RB)
R. Rice (RB)
D. Sproles (RB)
P. Harvin (WR)
J. Morgan (WR)

Overall, I really like my team with the exception of the fact that I would have liked a better #2 QB. I will play Edwards and Delhomme there based on their matchup each week. With that said, I stand by what I did because QBs were going quickly (since we must start 2 every week) but I just refused to reach for some of the middle-to-lower tier guys (Eli Manning, Orton, Hasselbeck, etc.) and kept trying to get the best talents available (McFadden, Desean Jackson, Ray Rice, etc.) rather than reaching just to fill a need. That left me with Trent Edwards and Delhomme to fill the void but I do love the rest of my team, particularly my running backs, who I believe will be the best in the league.

What do you guys think? Can I still win it all with my #2 QB situation? Any thoughts on strengths/weaknesses would be greatly appreciated. If you have a question, leave a link.

Personally I think Edwards may surprise a bit this year with TO and Lee Evans, as well as M.Lynch after week 3. The only real issue I see is your WR corps. If Hasselbeck can't stay healthy that is going to kill Housh's value. Also, D.Jackson is no guarantee either after just the 1 season. I think J.Morgan could be a nice surprise if the QB situation in SF gets sorted out. Overall, I think you have some good upside with your WR, but you may want to consider dipping into your ridiculous RB depth and making a trade for another 2nd or 3rd tier WR. Outside of that, I don't forsee you having alot of troubles.
