Westbrook owner.What round to get Mccoy in Dynasty WHIR

12 team keeper league. .5 ppr 6 pts all tds. What round should I target mccoy? Is 3rd too early? Im keeping Greg jennings at 5. Westbrook at 4. Im afraid that he would be gone in the 6th round. WHIR

depends on a lot of things that you haven't addressed. How many in your league? How many players being kept?


In a keeper league, there is always a premium on drafting rookie RBs, especially one like McCoy. So I would advise drafting him at least a round earlier than you normally would.

its a 12 team keeper league. Everyone keeps 3 players so essentially the top 36 players are kept. Im also keeping derrick ward at dv 9. The dv means draft value meaning the number represents the round i lose them in.

Since you are losing your 4th and 5th round picks, if you want McCoy, you better get him in the third. It's overpaying a bit for him, but he won't be there in the 6th round.

thanks for your help. Looks like Ill draft him in the 3rd round. I draft 4th in every round so I should be able to get him then.

i got another 4th round pick so i would be able to draft him in that round. I would have the 6th pick in the 4th round. Do you think I would be able to draft mccoy in the 4th or should i just reach and get him in the 3rd just incase. WHIR

I'd go with the 3rd round (assuming he's still there- all it takes is one guy to reach). It may be a bit early, but with 12 teams, there's a decent chance he goes before your 4th pick.
