Make that trade, then since you have such immense depth at RB I would bet you package your 3rd receiver with a bench RB and get another very solid WR. That's what I would do.

It certainly is an enticing trade, but I would stay put. Heres why:
Owens - That toe injury is lingering. He plays in Buffalo. He is aging. Oh yeah and he is on Buffalo.
Mason - Retires, unretires. He's getting up there in age, how much does he have left in the tank?
Jacobs - Hasn't made it through a full season yet.

The "potential" value is certainly there and I would be inclined to pull the trigger on this trade right away. But trading arguably the best receiver in the game for some aging vets and an injury prone RB just doesn't appeal.

I'd go with yes as well.. You're right in thinking you've seen a phenomenal year for Fitz.. his only options (I'd think we'd agree on this) are to maintain last years performance or decrease.

Boldin is healthy.. Go back and look at how many TD's Fitz scored WHEN Boldin played.. I was shocked.. I counted 3! Remember Boldin got his dome seriously rung last year and then got hurt a second time... Lots of time on the field without Boldin who started off red hot last year.

Also, as the above poster wrote.. look at the stats last year. Brandon Jacobs carried my team last year at my RB spot.. he's on a run happy team and is guaranteed goal line carries. No reason for him to not repeat last year barring injury.

You also gain T.O. yes it's T.O. but he'll perform enough to warrant the move. He could explode, or he could have a mediocre year which is still much better than most.

I'd think gaining two # 1's for one # 1 is pretty damn good logic. The only gamble is injury to Jacobs and T.O. going the way of Braylon Edwards circa 2008 with Trent Edwards at the helm.. but I'd rather have 2 guys that could earn me double digit points a week, vs. one right?
