10 teams, no keepers, decent money, no PPR, 6 for rush/rec TDs, 4 for passing TDs. QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF.
I had the 5th pick and took Moss because I think there's a drop-off in RB excellence after ADP, MJD and Forte and think there's good RB value this year in the 2nd - 6th rounds.
I took Andre Johnson coming back at #16, after Jacobs, Chris Johnson and Portis went 13, 14, 15. Best RBs on the board were Slaton and Ronnie Brown.
I love Roddy White this year and he was available at #25 so I took him over Jennings, MB3, Romo, Pierre Thomas, etc.
I got Grant and McFadden in rounds 4 and 5 and then Matt Ryan in the 6th.
A very unusual draft but I'm excited to have 3 of the top 5 WRs on my list. Not sure if you can win a league when Ryan Grant is your best RB but I figure I'll see how he and DMC start out and trade a WR for a higher-up RB if I need to. Also have some potential RB upside with Beanie Wells and Leon Washington.
I don't really have a point. Or a question. But any feedback or thoughts, let me know.
agree with bungle, big reach on ryan. i usually see ward/moreno/parker around there, and would have probably grabbed one of them (in that order) to get some RB depth, which you're going to need. i really think that in this year's draft you can go the first 6-7 rounds taking only RB/WR and field a scary team. lots of late round QB values and TE picks to be had in the 8-10 range.

I am moving this over to the draft trade forum... you will get some good insight over there.
+1... i don't think your WR/RB situation is really that bad considering you didn't have a RB drafted in the top 3 rounds, but Ryan in the 6th is a little early, add to it (not hoping for this by any means) but if Ryan flops your going to be hurting with the 2 biggest parts in the Atlanta passing game as 1/3 of your top 6 picks... good luck!
I dig your strategy and I'm planning on going a very similar route myself seeing as how I play in a 10-team PPR league starting 3 WR's, 2 RB's and a flex. I have the 7th overall pick so I'll most likely go AJ or Moss first. Then follow up with a Calvin Johnson or Greg Jennings. In the 3rd round though I really think I'm going after Pierre Thomas or Kevin Smith. If they're gone... then I guess I'm getting the next best WR. If you can solidify 3 of the 5 elite WR this year, your chances should be pretty good. I like Roddy White a lot! But I'm too unsure on Matt Ryan fantasy-wise to take him in the 6th. I'm targeting McNabb or Schaub b/c I know they can put up big numbers (worth the injury risks if you get a solid backup). I think D-Mac will work out for you this year as a high end RB2. He's being underrated this year b/c of his production last season. All looks well for him now and you know OAK is running it all day or passing it off to Zach Miller if anyone. Grant could be solid, but I'm not sold on him yet. Leon Washington is a great late pick and imo is a must draft in PPR formats ( I know you're standard though). Best of luck this year!
