Gonzo/Slaton for Witten/Bush/Williams?

Postby milostyl » Wed Aug 26, 2009 7:48 am

10 team standard scoring, no PPR. I managed to land both Forte and Slaton in the first 2 rounds and got a trade offer for Slaton.

I get Reggie Bush, Roy E Williams, and Jason Witten. The other guy gets Tony Gonzalez and Steve Slaton.

I'm not high on Bush in a non PPR but I love Witten and Williams on a TOless Cowboys. League starts 3 receivers so I'd have Williams next to Reggie Wayne and Lee Evans. Aside from Forte I also have LJ for the Chiefs and Beanie Wells.

Good trade for me?

I wouldn't make this trade. Slaton is first round talent. Bush is a major downgrade over him and I think Gonzo will be as good as Witten because the Cowboys second TE Bennett is a potential stud. The Cowboys will spread the ball around so I am down on Williams too. I heard an interview with John Kitna, on a radio show in Dallas. Kitna said " I see several guys catching 60 balls, no one stand out guy" This may not hold true but it shy's me away from Roy Williams. Anyway, Witten, Bush and Williams could all do well, especially Witten, but I don't like this trade for you.

Not a chance. You need to shoot for a better RB than Bush in return.

No way. Losing Slaton leaves too much of a whole that neither Bush, LJ, or Wells can fill imo.
Watch me crank dat robocop.
