Moore was very productive in that offense last season, but Colston did miss 6 games as well as Bush...and when Bush did play he was relatively unproductive. With a healthy Colston back, Im not sure if Moore finds the same success.
Harvin is looking good in preseason and with Favre now at QB, his stock certainly goes up as a WR, not to mention his potential KR duties.
barring any possible injuries... I like Harvin better as I think they have him get about 10 touches a game (but they will be rushes, 2-3, receptions 2-3, and PR/KRs). L.Moore will ahve some good games, but will be too inconsistent with Colston, Bush, Thomas all ahead of him in looks...
Rookie wr's are always a major question, but there seems to be a lot of love out there for Percy. I think i'd take the unknown upside in him over the known in Moore. NO has the 2 backs who catch balls as well as a healthy colston, so I think i take my chances on percy.
I'm going to go against the grain and say Moore. He's in a great system, and NO spreads the ball around a lot. He should get a good number of catches, although I agree that a step back from last year is likely.
I just don't love Harvin's situation this year. First, he's a rookie. Second, Brett Favre is done. Done, I say! Would you be this excited about Harvin with Sage Rosenfels throwing to him? Because that's about the level of quarterback he's getting right now. And before the end of the season, there's a good chance that it WILL be Rosenfels doing the throwing. Finally, Berrian and even Rice should see a fair number of looks, and that's going to diminish Harvin's opportunities in a way similar to how Moore's will be limited in New Orleans. Sure, I like Harvin's upside, but I don't think this is the year to draft him. Moore should be a decent bench guy or maybe WR3, so I'd go the safer route and stick with him.
Depends. Does you league allow you the KR/PR points of Harvin? If not, then I dont like him. I am a Vikes fan and I get the Hype. But there are a lot of mouths to feed and make no mistake this is a run first team. Run first with AP that is. Plus they keep saying the Vikes are going to run all these new plays for Harvin. Really? Childress is a terrible coach and runs a completely vanilla offense. part of that was QB play but still. Run first. Run second. Pass on third isn't hard for defenses to figure out. Not that Harvin cant put up stats, but I agree with earlier poster, there are lots of points to go around in NO. Bush is already hurt, and cant be relied on. Colston has been hurt two years in a row and has had as many knee surgeries in that time. So its not like he is the perfect example of health. Plus Brees spreads the ball around to who is open and Moore obviously has a connection with Brees. Dont get me wrong, Harvin is a much better talent, I just think Moore has the better season.
Though I have been seeing Harvin going much later in drafts. So if you are just talking about who to draft, you can probably get Harvin a hell of a lot later than Moore.
QB Romo, Lienart RB FWP, Addai, Jacobs, Betts, Brandon Jackson WR Roy Williams, Colston, S Moss, D Henderson, Hackett TE Heap K Hansen D San Diego
I think it's a stretch to say that Harvin has looked good this preseason. Didn't play in the first game and had 2 catches for 9 yards in game 2. I will admit the first one was impressive, even if it was only 5 yards. He did look decent returning kicks though. Nice burst. I just haven't seen enough of him to really go out and say he's looking good at this point.
In a redraft league I still take Moore. Dynasty league take Harvin.
I agree with Saintyopa that Childress is lacking in the creativity department.
