2 for 2 trade with a strange roster

Postby houstonherdfan » Wed Aug 26, 2009 2:44 pm

In a league that is 2 starters at every position except K with 1 WR/RB flex spot.

1 point per reception.

R. Moss, A. Gonzales, D. Driver at WR

D. Williams, K. Smith, P. Thomas, J. Lewis, C. Benson, M Lynch at RB

Gates, Witten, and K. Boss at TE

The trade offer is

Give D. Williams and J. Witten

Get L Fitzgerald and Willie Parker

Is what I am gaining at WR with a ppr worth the drop at WR and RB? Offering different players or asking for different players is not an option. I have played with this guy for a couple years when he offers something it is the best offer he will give.

You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.

No chance I'm making this trade. Do you get a top wr, yes, but the price you are paying is wwaaaayyyy too high. DWill will have another good season, and JStew hasn't played all pre season because of injury. I know that you have two top te's, but to me Witten will be the top te by years end. You are so deep at rb right now I would look at a team that is deep at wr and look to make a trade with them or wait until someone needs another rb. You are in great position once Lynch gets back from suspension also. Good luck.

I would hold off on the trade. Yes you are getting a solid WR but Parker is too much of a question mark and you have a few of those at RB already. DWilliams I would say is a bit more valuable to you than Fitz b/c you have solid WR. Yes it would be nice to roll out Moss and Fitz everyday, but DWill is going to put up some numbers and is the horse of your RB.

Counter with KSmith and Witten for Fitz and Parker
