I'm in the 5th spot of my redraft league and it has come down to these two for me. Who would you pick and why? I have concerns about both. In the case of Chris Johnson, it's Lendale White. The guy simply vultures too many TDs for my taste. Would White dissuade you from taking Johnson? As for Williams, it's splitting carries with Jonathan Stewart and facing the second toughest schedule in 2009. Thanks for your input.

DeAngelo will not be splitting carries with a guy that can't get on the field.

Strength of schedule is absolutely meaningless.

Johnson will be taken out of the game inside the 10 yard line.

Take DeAngelo.

I don't think schedule is totally meaningless: I would start Willis McGahee if he were playing the Lions and Broncos every week!

Having said that, I think the points made above a right on the money. I love Chris Johnson, but J Stewart has been nursing injuries since, I believe, his last year in college. Hasn't played much at all this preseason. D Williams on the other hand has been on fire this preseason. For what its worth, the Panthers coaching staff has stated that Williams will "get the bulk of the carries."

Definitely go with Williams.

I would go with DeAngelo. Johnson is a great young back but will lose alot to White. Stewart is hurt and will not steal too much from DeAngelo

If it is down to these two I'm taking DWill all day long. I'm not totally sold on Johnson as of yet, and White is motivated by being in a contract year to run and run hard all year long. I can see White taking many of the goal line td's from CJ this year, hurting his fantasy numbers. With DWill I can see the same % of carries for each of them this coming year, with DWill getting about 275-300 carries. And once again JStew is still out of training camp with an injury and he hasn't played in pre-season yet. I know that they have a tough schedule, but they also have a top run blocking offensive line. Go with DWill. Good luck.
