Let's hear your 3 favorite round 10+ picks

Postby lugmetric » Fri Aug 28, 2009 11:10 am

I thought it would be interesting to put together some people's favorite picks from round 10 and on. I have a very deep draft tomorrow, and am looking to do some damage late.

Right now, I like:

1) Hightower - he's going in round 10-11 in a lot of mocks i see, but he's really proven himself in the offsesason, and i think will get some quality starts before beanie has a chance to catch up.
2) Chris Henry - monster offseason/presseason, some talk of him moving outside w/ ocho while coles mans the slot.
3) Josh Morgan - WR1 on a team with no crabtree, no other real receiving threats (maybe vernon davis) and they enjoy some soft D's to start the season.

What do other people think?

Agree w/ you on Morgan.

Earl Bennet - WR CHI, Cutler's teammate @ Vandy. Hester isn't a #1, I think Bennet emerges as Cutler's go to WR.

Ahmad Bradshaw - RB NYG, Will see plenty of touches, can he handle the bulk of carries when Jacobs gets dinged. Legit shot @ 1000+ total yards & 5 scores.

Chris Henry - WR CIN, #3 WR in an offense run by one of the leagues elite QB's (when healthy), in contract year & seems to have gotten his act together.

Bonus 4th...

Chester Taylor - RB MIN, AP's back up, terrific O-line & system, could start for several teams. If AP get's hurt, very capable of carrying load - not to mention the immense trade value he would hold.

i'm on board with Henry and Morgan...throw in Burleson too

at RB i'd say Bernard Scott and James Davis

you may even be able to land Carson Palmer/Matt Hasselbeck that late

what's the rationale on burleson? i feel like SEA has a number of receiving options, and he seems to get hurt every year.

not doubting you, just curious.

I am not waiting til the 10th on Henry. Anymore.

Some not mentioned

Zach Miller - add a few Tds to his totals last year and he looks awesome. Nobody wants him.

Dom Hixon - He is the best WR in all of New York. The young ones won't grow up fast enough to hurt his value this year. Low #2/high #3 at the end of the draft.

Fred Taylor - some RB on the pats is going to get 10 TDs.

i think he's had ample time to recover from his knee injury, so i'm not worried about that. he's the #2 WR in an offense i expect to pass A LOT. for where you can get him in drafts it's worth a gamble...i think he has the potential for 800-1000 yards and 6 TD's

I like Leon Washington, LeShon McCoy (sometimes the Westbrook owner jumps late), Kevin Curtis, and Earl Bennett.
