9th pick 12 team redraft. Gore or top WR?

Postby Hogan » Sat Aug 29, 2009 8:00 am

Lookin at the 9th pick in a 12 team redraft no ppr. 1 pt per 10 yds rush/rec. 6 pt tds. 3 pt bonus at 100 yds rush. 3 pt bonus at 150 yd rec.........Basically tryin to decide between Frank Gore, CJ24, Slaton type vs a Moss, AJ, CJ type for my first pick. Thoughts?

I would draft both Gore and CJ over any WR in a non PPR. One of those WR will fall to you in round 2.

I 100% agree......I would definately grab Gore and then grab a stud WR coming back (your pick #9 so at least 1 or 2 of the top WR will be available)!

Sometimes I would say to grab 2 of the top WR's but not when you have Gore in your face (and your scoring is set like that)....so grab Gore and then one of the WR's and also make sure to grab G.Coffee in a later round!

Good Luck!

i'm in a similar situation. i might go wr/wr. it's tought to pass off a talented combo of 2 of fitz aj/moss/CJ. the fact that the niners drafted coffee scares me. and san fran isn't a very good team right now to put my #1 pick in an rb like that.

Thanks for the help guys. We drafted yesterday and at the 9th pick I ended up with LT in the mix too. I decided to take him with my first round pick and still got Calvin on the way back. Here's my team:

QB-Rodgers, Orton
RB-LT, Ronnie Brown, Joseph Addai, Julius Jones, Hightower, Chester Taylor
WR-Calvin, DeSean Jackson, Donnie Avery, Chris Henry, Earl Bennet
TE-Shiancoe
K-Gould
D-Washington
