Draft is tomorrow.....I've always drafted a RB first.......but this is the first year ive used cheat sheets. Every cheet sheet ive used tells me to draft a QB first. The scoring is pretty standard 6pt TD 1Ppt every 50yrds passing 1pt every 20yrds recieving and rushing -2pt interception
Should I draft a QB first???? Why or why not. Thanks
I know how you feel regarding the QB position. My league has 1/2 point per completion, 1 pt per 25 yards passing, 6 pts a TD, performance bonuses of +3/+5 points for 300+/400+ passing yards, -3 int, -2 fum. These guys can score way too many points, you gotta do it is there is an elite QB around come your pick.
you can get them in the second round. if you want a QB that bad if you have late position draft a WR then go QB. help me out please viewtopic.php?f=18&t=442166
I have only seen the QB on your first pick when it's usually a later pick or you pick at the turn and most or all the top RB's and WR's are gone (usually in leagues with more than 12 teams)......or you are in a 2 or more QB league.
If it's a standard 12 team league and you only start 1 QB then I wouldn't grab a QB unless (1. you want to.....it's about what you want!...lol) or (2. you have an early pick and had grabbed a top RB and when it's your turn again then you grab a top WR and a top QB).....that's usually where the Brady and Brees QB's go....is on the way back in the second round (in a 12 team single QB league)
I personally wouldn't draft them in the first round though....there are too many RB's and WR's to have and there are alot of talented QB's to take with later rounds!
Good Luck!

I have never been a person to pick QB first. You could, in theory end up with something like Fitz, slaton and Rivers/rodgers if you really wanted to. I think that roster would probably look much better than the roster would had you selected Brees or Brady with one of your top 2 picks.
Personally, unless Brady has a 50td season, its better off to get a QB later this will give you a more rounded team and less question marks.
In my league I drafted McNabb in the 6th round. My top 6 picks were Steven Jackson, Randy Moss, Ronnie Brown, Darren McFadden, Antonio Gates and McNabb. I guess I could have taken Brees instead of Moss but my pick at 6 would have probably not been as good a player.
Again...like the people said above, it depends on your draft position. I certainly would not take a QB in the 1st round.
How many QB are you allowed to start per week? If you are in a 1QB league then yes, you should pick the top 4 or 5 RB before considering drafting a QB. If you are in a 2QB league then I would say grab a QB ASAP. Good QB are a very rare commodity in a 2QB league.
For example, if you are in a 12 team league that starts 2 QB per week, then assuming each team actually has 2 STARTING QB that are healthy, that's 24 QB out of 30 serviceable ones (don't forget BYE week). What are the chances of you having 2 QB and 1 backup (for the dreadful BYE) on each team of the league? Slim to none because you will have some crazy people in your leagues that hogs up 4 serviceable QB just to tick you off!! It's all supplies and demands. In a 2QB League your Drew Bree will probably be twice as demanding as in a 1QB league. Besides, when people are desperate (such as 1 of their 2 QB are hurt or on BYE), you can potentially get a SJAX AND a Hassleback for the Bree you picked on Round1.
Depends on position, we had a guy take Brees at 7, in another league we had a guy take Brady at 3. I might make the Brees pick if I'm near the end in the first round. AP,Turner,MJD,and maybe Forte before a QB in my book.
