Are there any "semi-automated" mock draft websites? WHIR

Postby tjdoren » Sun Aug 30, 2009 12:01 am

I want to conduct my own mock drafts, without other live participants, so I can run through it more quickly. Ideally, I would plug in a generic player ranking list for all the other teams in the draft, and let the computer draft those slots automatically, while I draft my own team using my own personalized rankings. I want to test out various combinations of position orders in the first few rounds. For example, RB-RB-WR-WR-QB versus WR-RB-RB-WR-QB versus RB-WR-QB-RB-WR and so on. You get the idea. I want to find out which of these gives me the best result. But I don't want to take the time to go through slow, live mock drafts with other real people.

Post your link...I'll help in return.

Sorry, no input here. Just flagging this because I'd be interested in something like this too.

Try fantasyfootballcalculator.com. It drafts using the ADP of all the real mock drafts that are done on its website. But to make it more realistic it scrambles up its picks every time so the computers picks are never the same. To me because of the randomness it made it seem like I was drafting with real people and each draft only takes about 10/15 minutes.

The Draft Simulator on fantasyfootballcalculator.com requires a membership. Otherwise it looks like what I need. Does anyone know of something similar which is free?

I found one at http://www.fantasyfootballxtreme.com/fantasy-football-xtreme-tools/draft-simulator/, but it has limited options. Any other ideas?
