A season that started with one nasty surprise for Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier ended with another Thursday.
The sophomore quarterback was ruled ineligible for the Gator Bowl according to Michigan officials, who said in a written statement that Forcier “did not meet university standards and is ineligible to participate.”
Forcier left the team Thursday evening and boarded a flight back to Detroit at the Jacksonville International Airport.

Agreed as long as Gardner doesn't come into the game we'll be OK. Also read on the premiums that Shaw might be ineligible too.

I doubt Gardner would play. That would just piss of the AD, who RR should be sucking up to in an attempt to keep his job anyway.

If Denard gets hurt, Jeremy Gallon could come in and run a even more running-intensive style of football than we already do.

Rodriguez was already quoted as saying Gardner is the #2 tomorrow. So if Denard gets hurt, Gardner will likely be the guy coming in.

Yeh, still lots of talk about him taking the job, but also talk of him going to the 49ers.

Yeah the whispers are turning into mutterings about Harbaugh. Like I said before, I don't think he's going anywhere but to the pros. As far as him going to Michigan, I'll still believe it when I see it, though it wouldn't surprise me.

One of the clips I heard said Carolina will not even attempt to contact Harbaugh because they believe he's headed to Ann Arbor.

Legends will be tough as nails if Harbaugh goes to Ann Arbor. Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan, Sparty - that's a hell of a foursome if all teams play to historic potential.

After seeing Harbaugh's remarks (or lack thereof) after the game last night, I'm MUCH less optimistic about him staying on the farm. Whether he heads to Ann Arbor or not, I'm still not sure. I guess it just depends on if he wants to move up to the big leagues or not.

FB: Nine Big Ten Standouts Named to Pro Bowl Team
By Big Ten Conference on December 30, 2010 8:53 AM

Nine former Big Ten student-athletes were named to the National Football League Pro Bowl teams earlier this week, including seven starters. The Big Ten ranked second among all conferences with seven Pro Bowl starters, trailing only the ACC's 11 starters and followed by the Pac-10 and SEC with five starters each. The Big Ten was one of only four conferences with nine or more Pro Bowl selections, including the ACC (18), SEC (12) and Pac-10 (11). Seven Big Ten standouts were named to the AFC Pro Bowl team, including six starters. The six starters for the AFC include San Diego offensive guard Kris Dielman (Indiana), New England quarterback Tom Brady (Michigan), Miami offensive tackle Jake Long (Michigan), New York center Nick Mangold (Ohio State), Miami linebacker Cameron Wake (Penn State) and Cleveland offensive tackle Joe Thomas (Wisconsin). Denver wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (Illinois) was also selected to the AFC Pro Bowl squad. The NFL Pro Bowl team will feature two former Big Ten standouts in starting cornerback Charles Woodson (Michigan) of Green Bay and backup quarterback Drew Brees (Purdue) of New Orleans.
