Trading Away R. Moss... Am I getting good value here?

Postby NikeTex82 » Sat Aug 29, 2009 9:08 pm

An owner in my league, pending a veto, is gonna be getting Tom Brady. Well I have Randy Moss, and before he got Brady, he wanted Moss.

I am thinking on offering him the following:

MY Randy Moss for HIS Brandon Jacobs & Ryan Grant (joking a bit here).

I MIGHT add in Pierre Thomas, but then y'all might think that I may be losing out a little bit.
THIS IS HIS TEAM, that would be having Brady on his team (He traded away Matt Ryan & Greg Jennings for Brady.)

QB - Matt Cassel, Tom Brady
WR - Dwayne Bowe, Andre Johnson, Devin Hester, Percy Harvin, Michael Crabtree, Felix Jones
RB - Brandon Jacobs, Ryan Grant, LenDale White, Marshawn Lynch, Ahmad Bradshaw

K - Rob Bironas

New York - (NYJ - DEF)
Arizona - (Ari - DEF)

D - Patrick Willis
DL - Justin Smith
LB - Jon Beason
LB - LaMarr Woodley
DT - Darnell Dockett
DE - Dwight Freeney
S - Michael Griffin
CB - Cortland Finnegan

MY TEAM:

QB - Jay Cutler (CHI) & Chad Pennington (MIA)
RB - Adrian Peterson (MIN), Matt Forte (CHI) & Pierre Thomas (NO)
WR - Randy Moss (NE), Roddy White (ATL), Eddie Royal (DEN) Anthony Gonzalez (IND) & Bernard Berrian (MIN)

Bench Players - (RB) Donald Brown (IND) & (WR) Domenik Hixon (NYG)

K - David Akers - (PHI)

2 DEF/SP - Philadelphia Eagles D/New York Giants D

Individual Defensive Players:

(D) - D'Qwell Jackson - CLE
(DL) - Jared Allen - MIN
(LB) Barrett Ruud - TB
(LB) London Fletcher - WAS
(DT) Jason Jones - TEN
(DE) John Abraham - ATL
(S) Ed Reed - BAL
(CB) Charles Woodson - GB

Thoughts? If not those two, then what 2 players should I target from his team? I told him, that if he wants Moss now, that it just got a WHOLE LOT TOUGHER!

NOTE: I have one empty slot open so i would NOT have to drop anyone! ;-D

instead of taking BJacobs and Grant, maybe asking for Jacobs and Bowe might be good as well. u have good backs imo, and losing Moss leaves ur WR corpse weak. plus i think he'd be more willing to part with those 2 instead of the first pair mentioned. trying to get bradshaw would be a good idea as well

I think that trade would make your team worse, stick with what you have

I agree here.....Your team is awesome the way it is (AP and Forte????What the heck!!!!....LOL)

I think if you traded him then that would leave him without a RB (which is great.....your suppose to leave the "enemy" without a RB....LOL) but that also leaves you with the lack of WR action.

Like the other poster said though.....you could ask for Jacobs/Ward/Bowe for Moss (something like that) but the downgrade from Moss to Bowe is extreme and you don't have a need for anymore RB's (how many do you start BTW)?

You'll always start AP and Forte (no questions barring something happening to them) so there is no point to trade Moss!

You still have Roddy and Royal (who both will be excellant top WR's also), but I think your team is stacked already and I actually wish it was mine!.....LOL

Stay put!

It looks like you mean you are starting 3RB and 5WR meaning 2 of those are Flex? That would make this a whole lot more interesting
