at first there was talk about harrison taking most of the carries..but now this james davis fella i picked up off the waviers seems to be the man now.

he looks great in the preseason ...hes got 7.8YPC and 2 TDs.
jamal lewis has 2.8YPC

think this guy will take over the role as the starting RB by week 3?

He may get his fair share of carries, I don't know about starter by week 3 though.

I agree, this guy is worth a roster spot for sleeper, but he has to beat out a vet who easily avg. over 1,000 yards/year. I don't think he will lose that job just yet. But James Davis will give him a run for his money, and will probably dip into Lewis' numbers. But no, I don't think by week 3 starting.

I think there is definitely a chance that James Davis will be starting by Week 3. Mangini drafted JD, and I think he will want to prove to the world that he is a genius and got the steal of the draft. Plus, Jamal is running out of gas and his ankle appears to be bothering him. But the most likely scenario is a steady mix of Lewis, Davis, and Harrison so that we "daze and confuse" the opposing defenses. LOL.
