How'd I do? WHIR

Postby Cubsfan2803 » Sun Aug 30, 2009 10:13 pm

I just finished my 16 team draft. It's a ppr league with some bonuses.
Rushing - 10 yards per point; 8 points at 100 yards; 5 points at 150 yards; 5 points at 200 yards
Reception - 10 yards per point; 6 points at 100 yards; 3 points at 150 yards; 5 points at 200 yards
Passing TDs are 5, ints -1, Kickoff and punt returns are worth 12 points

1. (16) Andre Johnson WR
2. (17) Randy Moss WR
3. (48) Marshawn Lynch RB
4. (49) Thomas Jones RB
5. (80) Matt Hasselbeck QB
6. (81) Darren McFadden RB
7. (112) Patrick Crayton WR
8. (113) Brent Celek TE
9. (144) New York DEF
10. (145) LeSean McCoy RB
11. (176) Chad Pennington QB
12. (177) Nate Washington WR
13. (208) Matt Jones WR
14. (209) Michael Vick QB
15. (240) Joe Nedney K

I am worried about my QB and I was thinking of trading RB for one. I relied a lot on finding sleepers because with 16 people by round 8 there was like no one left. Were Celek, DMC, and McCoy good choices? I also know that I have a lot of suspended players on my team like Jones, Lynch, and Vick. How much should that worry me? was it worth it to grab them for when they are back? Thanks

What are the chances of Matt Jones playing this year?

I really like your team for a 16 teamer, your WR are very sick. Your RBs are deceptively good as well... I dont know why Tjones doesnt get any love, also Lynch will be back after his suspension to solid form.

I think you are fine at QB, I have Hasselback as a QB I am targeting in almost all leagues.

Is it worth holding onto Vick for 6 weeks? I am wondering if I should drop someone for a backup TE or a WR (since Washington is hurt and Jones might not find a team this year). Robert Meachem and Joshua Cribbs are on the W.

Thanks for the help with mine.

Overall, I'd give your team a B-minus grade. Here's my thoughts:

QB's: C-minus
Hass should have a better year this season. Housh will help, and Carlson is a very good TE option. Problem is the running game. If they can get decent production outta JJ and Edge, then Hass could be a decent starter. I think Pennington will struggle, and could lose his starting job to C. Henne at some point this season. Forget about Vick - even if McNabb gets injured (which is likely), I can't see him being a reliable starter week-to-week.

WR's: A+plus
Your starters are top-notch... no worries here. Crayton will have some decent games but is hit-and miss. Washington is hurt right now & could be a decent option when healthy, but plays on a run-first team. Jones is worthless.

RB's: C
Don't like T. Jones this year. He's 30, in an offense with a rookie QB starting, and will be competing to get carries L. Washington and S. Greene.

Lynch could have a good year, but you won't know until Week 4, which means you'll be without him for about of the FF regular season - risky.

McFadden is the X-factor. I have him as well, and I think (and hope) that he'll bust out of the gates quickly this season. He's healthy, and the Raiders now have a run-first oriented offense, and their o-line has been upgraded slightly. I'm not too worried about Fargas and Bush, unless McFadden gets hurt.

TE: B+plus
Celek should be a Top 10 TE this year - you're good here.

DEF: A
I'm assuming you have the G-Men, in which case, you've got a winner. Giants should be solid again this year - With Osi coming back, and a slightly better secondary, they'll be getting plenty of sacks and INT opportunities.

Good luck this season!
