Scoring is standard + .5 PPR. Keepers in bold. Numbers denote the round a player was taken in. Draft was also non-snaking and I had the 4th pick overall.
QB: Jay Cutler (2)
RB: Matt Forte
RB: Larry Johnson
WR/RB: Ahmad Bradshaw (3)
WR: Lee Evans
WR: Chad Ochocinco
WR: Dwayne Bowe
WR/TE: Anthony Gonzalez (1)
TE: Todd Heap (10)
K: Ryan Lindell (12)
DEF: San Diego (8)
Bench: Shonn Greene (4), Jammal Charles (5), Correl Buckhalter (6), Bernard Scott (7), Robert Meachem (9), John Lee Higgins (11)
I went into the draft thinking of 3 different scenarios with my first couple of picks:
1. Grab one of the top 3 QB's with my first pick (Warner, Cutler, Schaub) and roll the dice on rookie RB's
2. Grab Moreno, Wells or R.Rice and try to draft a QB like Edwards/Hill/Orton later
3. Solidify WR with one of the top 4 (V-Jax, Bryant, Marshall, Gonzo), grab a QB late and roll the dice on rookie RB's
The last thing I thought I'd do was draft a WR with my 1st pick, but I guess that's the type of effect hype (and Peyton) has. I passed on Moreno, Rice, Wells and Marshall and opted for the safe play in Gonzalez. I knew I'd be able to grab some cheap RB's later and I did. I did not expect Cutler to make it back to me though. That changed my entire strategy. I also opted to gamble a bit and not draft a backup QB or team defense. Im hoping for my RB situation to sort itself out by the time I need to cover for Cutlers bye (week 5). Im confident in San Diego's defense as well.
Anyways, if you could, please rate each position out of 10:
