Derrick Ward for Delhomme or Garrard?

Postby djtw » Mon Aug 31, 2009 3:09 pm

I need a backup QB and this guy need RB's. Should I trade for Delhomme?

He also has Campbell. I need to cover for week 7 and Delhomme goes against NO and Campbell goes against CLE. Who would you rather have it McNabb were to get hurt?

My Team:
QB: mcnabb
WR: Bowe, Edwards, galloway, Ginn
RB: Deangelo, Gore, charles, bradshaw, wells, Derrick Ward
TE: Gonzolaz
K: Akers
DEF: Dallas

I wouldn't... just pick somebody up for one week, no reason to hurt your RB depth just for a guy that will fill in for 1 week. If McNabb gets hurt worry about trading for a quality QB then, for now just grab someone out of the FA.

I'm not much a fan of Delhomme. Ward has a legit chance to start albeit for a bad team. I think you're giving up too much for a one week starter.

Giving up Waaaaaaay too much here........I wouldn't do it!

I have both Ward and Delhomme but even if I didn't have Delhomme and only had Palmer (my other QB) then I wouldn't trade Ward for him. I don't think Delhomme is that bad of a QB (besides the INT's) but he does have S.Smith to throw to and I think he does pretty well this year. However, Ward will be starting and the #1 RB in that crap whole of a team soon and he will be viable soon to be a nice RB2 (he's a good RB3 now).....so hold onto Ward or if you have RB depth then try trading Ward for a better QB then a QB3 in most cases!

Good Luck but don't make this trade!

I did not realize Delhomme has the same bye week as McNabb so would you take Garrard for Ward? The guy has 3 qb's and need a RB pretty bad. The 3rd qb is Campbell.

Garrard is better, but really you need to get more VALUE. Throw in Ginn and make him include a better receiver to balance out or something. You'll figure out a back up either way, he has to trade or get lucky on the wire to find an RB.
