too many RB's

Postby djtw » Mon Aug 31, 2009 5:32 pm

What would you do here. I have too many RB's and need a better #4 WR. I am trying to trade Charles for Coffee right now. Should I give it a week or two to see how things shake out or try to move one of these guys now?

Rank these RB's so I can see who to trade or drop.
Wells
Bradshaw
Ward
Charles

14 team league:
Recpt - Reception 1 point for every 3 Recpts
Ru20 - Rush for 20+ Yards 1 point
Ru2P - Rushing Two-point Conversion 2 points
RuAtt - Rushing Attempt 2 points for every 30 RuAtts
RuTD - Rushing TD 6 points
RuYd - Rushing Yards 1 point for every 20 RuYds
Plus a 3 point bonus @ 100+ RuYd
Plus a 2 point bonus @ 150+ RuYd
Plus a 1 point bonus @ 200+ RuYd

My Team:
QB: McNabb
RB: Gore, Deangelo Williams, Bradshaw, Charles, Wells, Ward
WR: Bowe, Edwards, Galloway, Ginn Jr.
TE: Gonzalez
K: Akers
DEF: Dallas

If I had to rank these RBs I would say keep Wells and Bradshaw, hold on to Ward for the short term to see what Tampa does with their running game, and try to trade Charles to Larry Johnson's owner for a WR. With the O-line problems in Kansas City and the Chiefs firing their offensive coordinator 2 weeks before the start of the season now might be a good time to sell your stock in the KC running game. I am guessing that if LJ's owner spent a high round pick on him, he/she might be starting to worry and looking for insurance.

I would rank them:

Ward
Wells
Bradshaw
Charles

I would try and trade Charles to the LJ owner as well, or Bradshaw to the Jacobs owner (you would be able to get more back that way since Bradshaw himself is an awesome back on the best Oline in the NFL)

Ward will eventually become the #1 RB in TB after Caddy breaks down (or Graham does too) and since Ward is the most talented RB there he will start soon. Wells is also a #1 if he wasn't injured or should become the #1 RB in AZ before to long. See what you can get for Charles first and if you don't like that then move up and try the others.

Good Luck!

how many players do you start per week?

and honestly, i dont think you can ever have "too many RBs". if i HAD TO trade someone i guess it would be charles. im not a big fan of ward either b/c i think it will be a committee all year long in TB
