2 Keepers/PPR: HELP!! (WHIR)

Postby The Loyalist » Mon Aug 31, 2009 8:17 pm

10 Team PPR League, drafting in 9 Spot this year...

Only have to start 1 RB (1 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR)

Definite Keeper: Andre Johnson

Options for Other Sopt:

Westie: had him for last 2 years and it's no coincidence I've been in the finals both years... PPR King, but is this the year the injuries become too much????

Chris Johnson: love this guy, hate the sharing carries

Michael Turner: no catches, so probably not

Housh: looking good in preseason... a good high end #2 WR

Romo: QB friendly league

impossible to predict this leagues draft - never goes even remotely like a 'normal' draft.... help!!

CJ -he's got a great ypc average, as for as a 2nd i'm biased towards westy as i'm thinking of taking him at 2.3 in a 12 team redraft. he's the focul point of the offense and not too many rb's are like that to a team

Michael Turner...hands down.

and its a coin flip between Chris Johnson and Andre, but i would probly go with andre there. to even out things.

Chris Johnson is ur man. Great receiver out of the backfield and sharing carries or no, he's gonna get plenty of touches. 2 (or more) rb's sharing the workload is just the way of the nfl these days, don't let that deter u from a stud player.

Thanks for the reply.....

This one is tougher than it looks just because you have a #1 RB like Turner (but not great for PPR), you have a super stud in Westy (but injuries have caught up to him) and you have CJ2.24 which is great (but I hate having L.White in the mix taking TD's)!

I would go with your gut here on if you think Westy will get broken down or not. Personally I think he will so I would rank them like so:

CJ2.24 - (great receiver out of the backfield....may lose some TD's but will get a ton of receptions and still a nice handfull of TD's)

Westy - (great and the best if not going to be injured but I think he does.....I would get Westy also if you can grab McCoy as well)

Turner - (still one of the top RB's and a great running back but not for PPR so if you are going to solely go for yards and TD's on the ground then he is your guy but since you are keeping AJ then you need a top RB as well)

Romo - Good QB and with Jessica out of the way he should fair well this year but always take that stud RB over a decent QB anyday plus there are a ton of QB's this year who should fair well

Housh - I like Housh this year and he has been a stud in preseason and should be a stud for the season but the others are too hard to pass up before Housh especially since you have AJ already!

Good Luck to you!

Think I would have gone with Turner until I saw it was a PPR league. That being the case, I would go with Chris Johnson.
