Hillis or James Davis? WHIR

I currently have Peyton Hillis, but Davis is on the WW. Just read that Jamal Lewis might not even make the 53 man roster.

Should I drop Hillis for Davis? This is a 1yr keeper league as well, so I'm looking at both this year as well as next.

Current roster:
QB: Warner, Delhomme
RB: Turner, McFadden, Moreno, Donald Brown, Shonn Greene, Hillis
WR: Roddy White, TO, Marchall, Avery, Harvin, Nicks, Shillens
TE: Olsen
DST: SD
K: Kaeding

Standard 12-team league Non-PPR, 6pts for all TD's, 1pt for 10yds rush/rec.

This one is a little tricky because we are playing the 'what if" game!

Hillis performed well in the latest preseason game and with Moreno hurt and all I think he will be in line for a solid year. The only problem is that Moreno is guaranteed the starting spot and should be ready for week 1 so Hillis loses value here. I personally don't like Denver RB's because they always seem to get hurt so.....even if Moreno plays he will eventually get hurt, they will then play Hillis and then he will get hurt (always happens with the Broncos)

If what you are saying is true and J.Lewis will be cut (I just don't see it happening) then I would absolutely grab J.Davis. I think regardless he is in almost the same situation as Hillis but I don't personally like any RB that plays for Denver.

I would make the swap and take Davis (especially if your information is true....and if not I don't see Lewis lasting long and soon enough Davis will take over and he has looked pretty good so far in preseason also)!

I'd say make the move. You aren't talking about one of your studs here, and if you think Davis is in for more playing time than Hillis it would be a good move. Denver's backfield seems a bit too cluttered still, as I think Buckhalter will get some carries even with Moreno healthy.

Definately grab James Davis. Hillis is a tease, and the Broncos will need to pass a lot this year. Not good for a 3rd-string RB (at best).

I'd rather have a guy who could be a #1 starter in 2 weeks than a guy who needs three injuries ahead of him to get into the lineup.

I just dropped Hillis for Davis in a 14-teamer (my squad autodrafted). Even if J Lew makes the roster and is healthy, Davis will get touches.
