12-Team Standard Scoring League (1pt/10rush/rec yards, 1pt/25 pass yds, 6 pt TD pass) Redraft, No PPR Start: 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D/ST
Just completed my 12-team draft Monday night. AD slipped to me at #2, which I was happy about (Forte went 1...never seen that). I went with the opposite strategy after that. Please tell me what you think, and what (if necessary) you might do to improve it. Leave a link and I'll WHIR.
P.S. I did this draft as I was watching the Vikings/Texans preseason game. As my pick came up I was about to take Reggie Bush. But I saw Matt Schaub hobbling off the field and thought I'd better go w/ Palmer. It appears Schaub will be okay, but would I have been better off w/ Bush?
QB: Matt Schaub (6.11), Carson Palmer (9.2) RB: Adrian Peterson (1.2), Pierre Thomas (4.11), Marshawn Lynch (8.11), Beanie Wells (10.11), Ahmad Bradshaw (11.2) WR: Roddy White (2.11), Steve Smith (3.2), Antonio Bryant (7.2), Josh Morgan (12.11) TE: Antonio Gates (5.2) K: Adam Vinatieri (14.11) D/ST: Miami (13.2)
nice team. I just had a 12 team draft as well and I think you have me beat. It seems like pick 1/2/3 are great positions this yr. Your weakest position would be WR. I'd move bradshaw for a WR.
Firstly, your team is very good. I'm going to nitpick here not because I think your team really needs it, but because you asked ofr the rating.
I'm not sure I like both QB's being injury risks. I understand that it might be unlikely for both to be injured, but... both sooooo injury prone, I don't know.
I also don't think AV is a quality kicker anymore. Both of these issues are very small. You should have success after week 4 if you make the right RB decisions. Your number 2's are suspect.
I think you have a solid team and a potentially big scoring team
you asked for some opinions so here ya go
I agree with the above poster and both your QBs being injury risks although they both can produce big if healthy.
You have 2 solid RBs in Peterson and Lynch even with the suspension. Wells looks good, I took him as well for his upside. Pierre is kind of a scary pick as good as he was last year. He is hurt and Mike Bell has looked very good this year. If Bell continues to shine while Thomas sits, well, best case scenario he only loses some carries, worst case he loses most of his carries. Bradshaw could be okay if he is used like Ward was last season
Your WRs are solid, all #1s which is a big help. I don't see White and Bryant matching last years production, but you should still get good staedy numbers out of them. Morgan will depend on Crabtree and how he gets up to speed.

That is a pretty ridiculous team for a 12 teamer. Between Schaub and Palmer one of them should stick and hopefully stay on the field. I worry a bit about the QB situation in TB, but Bryant as a 3 mitigates that a bit. Nice job drafting.
Nice draft. I think you are much better off for having taken Palmer...in mocks when I drafted Schaub, I was actually targeting Palmer a round or two later also. Having 2 high risk/high reward QB's is awesome, you can platoon them against weaker defenses week to week and enjoy the combined production of an upper-tier QB. Plus if one gets hurt, you still have the other.
And the Championship goes to "What ever you call your team". Nice team. I would not touch it unless you could upgrade qb with a minimal amount of loss. But surely one of those will hit. Either one could get hurt or either one could have a monster year.
