Vikings passing game

Postby dgcesq » Mon Aug 31, 2009 10:03 pm

I know it's AP's game, we all just watch. However, with D's focused on AP, isn't that an ideal situation for Favre to put up big numbers? Berian is a solid receiver, good speed, good hands. I know Favre is old, but he showed last year he still has the arm. And if Ds have to focus on the run, Favre should face less pressure.

So, other than Favre being old and being a jerk, why shouldn't we expect solid fantasy numbers from Favre or Berian?

I read somewhere that for the last 5 years Favre's numbers drop offf dramatically after week 12. So I think he should be good at first but don't count on it going into the homestrech/playofffs.

Favre plays Cleveland in week 1 - that's going to be a bloodbath. With a little luck, he has 2-3 good weeks in a row, and then I can trade up. I think I've had him on my teams 4-5 times over the last few years - you are right, he's a disaster come playoffs!
