Best Player Available - worried the strategy let me down

Postby mightyjevan » Mon Aug 31, 2009 11:42 pm

I had the 6th pick in a new 10-team keeper league (2 keepers). Because of some unexpected picks early on my gameplan was somewhat shot and I ended up choosing the best player available. I am worried that I ended up deviating from what I should have and that it'll hurt me in the long run. What do you think? I'll rate your roster in return.

10-team Yahoo!, QB RB RB WR WR TE W/R K D

1. (6) LaDainian Tomlinson
2. (15) Steven Jackson
3. (26) Anquan Boldin
4. (35) Aaron Rodgers
5. (46) Kevin Smith
6. (55) Roy Williams
7. (66) Darren McFadden
8. (75) Anthony Gonzalez
9. (86) Braylon Edwards
10. (95) DeSean Jackson
11. (106) Fred Jackson
12. (115) Chester Taylor
13. (126) New England
14. (135) Mark Sanchez
15. (146) Brent Celek
16. (155) John Kasay

Thanks in advance!

I see what you mean, I went with the same strategy toward the end of the draft and ended up a little RB heavy. I think you are just a little weak at WR for a 10 team league. Boldin should be solid and is a good red zone receiver assuming he's healthy this year, but I don't trust Williams completely in Dallas, though he has potential. I think that you should be able to package one of your 4 decent recievers and maybe mcfadden or jackson(to the lynch owner) for a more elite player, otherwise I think your strategy worked out ok and you'll compete. Good luck,
