Draft tonight - need help/advice on 1st pick...

Postby Jai » Tue Sep 01, 2009 7:39 am

I'm in a 14 team league, PPR.

QB, WR, WR, RB, TE, W/R/T, K, DEF, LB, DT, DE, S, CB, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR

I have the 6th pick in my draft. Most of the folks in this league place ridiculous value on QB's. I try to take advantage of this as I won last season with Pennington at QB.

I've found out that Brees is going #1, Peterson #2, not sure who's going 3rd, Brady is going 4th and I'm not sure who's going 5th.

My question is, I might find MJD, Forte, Sjax, Moss, A. Johnson and Fitz all available to me at 6. Who would you pick at 6 with those potential prospects? I'm concerned I might get a little flustered if I see all these guys in front of me when my pick comes up :-b .

In this league I place very high value on WR's; again I won last season and came in 3rd the previous two seasons. I drafted both Johnson and Moss with my first 2 picks last season.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and leave a link and I'll offer up my .02 worth on any question you may have.

If those 3 picks go off the board your most, you're left with whatever running back comes off at 6th--D.Will, Forte, and MJD. In my draft I took MJD at 4, than Forte and D.Will came off respectively. IMO, you have to take whatever running back of those three is available at 6. All of of them are multi dimensional RB's who will rack up rushing yardage and snag some receptions...

The thing is, you didn't mention Williams and have SJax up in the company of Forte and MJD--i'd take D.Will over Sjax and not look back.

At 6, you gotta go with MJD or Forte if they're available. If they are gone, I agree with Matt, grab D Lo before S Jax.

Great points about D. Will. I do have him up there but have sjax because of PPR. I will definitely keep D. Will in mind for that pick. Thanks for the reminder, this is exactly why I'm asking, I'm already getting flustered hah!

at six, it's good for you if qb's go off the board. take your highest rated rb. i personally have them ranked mjd, forte, turner, dwill, lt, sjax in a ppr.
good luck!
