Driver for 2nd Round Pick

Postby gmcman22 » Tue Sep 01, 2009 9:16 am

I'm in a 14 team PPR Keeper league and have been offered the first pick of the 2nd round for Donald Driver (I have the 2nd pick in the 2nd round already). I inherited the worst team in the league from last season, and am rebuilding. Its tough to give up a 1000 yard receiver, but I think its a good trade from a perspective of getting a younger player, and starting to rebuild. I can pick up Cotchery, Lance Moore or perhaps a rookie. I also have Aaron Rodgers & Ryan Grant, so moving driver will help in a bye week.

New to this though, so looking for some expert advice.

My Roster Pre-Draft Day:

Aaron Rodgers
Tim Hightower
Ryan Grant
Deangelo Williams
Donald Driver
Lee Evans
Justin Gage
Greg Camarillo
Kevin Faulk
Leon Washington

Yes, trade him away now and get younger. He is a decent wr, but he is getting a little older and you need to keep the youth on your team, I'm assuming that this is a dynasty or keeper type league. Get the picks and load up on young players. I would target wr's, look and see if Chris Henry is still available also. good luck.

Yes its a dynasty league with 15 keeper slots... players costing between 1 and 3 slots depending on the prior year's performance. The draft is pretty slim pickings. The good rookies... Harvin, Maclin, Wells, McCoy, Stafford, Sanchez etc. will all be gone in the first round.

I'm concerned about not having a backup QB, but will have to address more immediate needs with my early picks. Due to the team I inherited, I'm without a first rd. and third rd. pick.
