8-Team League Draft Strategy This Year

Hey guys, I have an 8 team league draft tonight and was hoping to get some advice on draft strategy. Standard ESPN rosters and scoring. I think if I end up with picks 1-4 I will take the best available of AP, Turner, J-D, and Forte and then go with receivers with my next two picks. If, however, I end up on the back half of the draft would I be crazy selecting WR's with my first three picks? When do you target a QB in an 8 team draft? Usually I wait on QB's and get a Schaub, Ryan type. I just feel like RB is the deepest position and in an 8 team draft it'd benefit me to target the more shallow positions.

I did a mock from position 7 and my first 5 picks were: Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Steve Smith, Wetbrook, Grant...

If on the front end, take your stud RB and come back with two WRs and grab a QB in the 4th. Pairing a MJD or Forte with a Smith or Grant is not bad at all, stud with an upside RB. At the back end, I would go RB/WR with your QB in the third or maybe even WR/WR...with 8 teams you have a lot play room to draft who you want. Good luck!
