Let me know what you think of my roster. I think Royal is "okay" as a WR2 in this .5ppr league. Going with Fred Jackson (probably starting weeks 1-3) or Felix in the flex. Hoping one of my bench RBs gets a starting gig and will use them as trade bait or as a monster in the flex spot. Leave a link.

I like it overall. Your bench RBs are almost all #2's sitting behind someone or the 2nd guy in a timeshare though, might take an injury to propel your depth to where you'd want it to be. But Jones or Bradshaw both do have standalone value at least and either one could take off
Here is how I drafted and how I see it shaking out
Round Pick Player Position 1. (9) Steven Jackson RB - absolutely lethal when healthy 2. (16) Andre Johnson WR - steal at 16 IMO 3. (33) Kevin Smith RB - love him as your RB2 4. (40) Jason Witten TE - can put up WR numbers from the TE slot 5. (57) Philip Rivers QB - I like RIvers, but I probably would have focused on RB or WR here 6. (64) Eddie Royal WR - talented, but Denver is a disaster, would much rather have him as a WR3 7. (81) Felix Jones RB - could end up huge if he can stay healthy 8. (88) Fred Jackson RB - time share guy who's hurt, reached here I think 9. (105) Donald Driver WR - very solid WR3, GB offense looks fantastic 10. (112) Ahmad Bradshaw RB - love Bradshaw 11. (129) Deion Branch WR - I like Burelson more 12. (136) Chester Taylor RB - tremendous value if AP gets hurt 13. (153) Kevin Curtis WR - love the philly offense, could be a steal this late 14. (160) Jamaal Charles RB - KC is a disaster, upside guy, remain to be seen 15. (177) Nate Kaeding K - Love Kaeding, love that you got him late even more 16. (184) Sidney Rice WR - upside guy, remains to be seen 17. (201) Arizona DEF - Meh, hard to put much stock into the 201st selection of a draft

QB - Rivers is good, hopefully he builds on last year, as I said, I think you had more pressing needs when you took Rivers RB - Jackson is an absolute monster when healthy. Love Smith as you RB2, Bradshaw and Jones I really like, I don't think either can shoulder the load for prolonged stretches, but both will have an impact right out of the gate. Jackson & Taylor are back ups - I like Taylor a lot more than Jackson (regardless of Marshawn's 3 game vacation). WR - Andre, like Jackson is a monster, steal @ 16 (especially in a PPR). After Johnson, I don't see a legit WR2 on your roster, but Witten helps here. TE - Witten is spectacular, I'm very curious to see what happens now that TO is gone.
Overall, I would be pretty satisfied if this was my squad. A lot hinges on SJax staying healthy. Hopefully one of the RB's on your roster gets off to a tremendous start so you can upgrade your WR2 spot.

In all honesty I'm not the biggest fan of this team, but I think there's some room to maneuver. I'm going to put it out there and say that you should've drafted a QB2 and a real defense; I hope there's something good on the wire. There's got to be a way for you to package a couple of those RBs for a better RB2 than k smith. But behind smith is some definite potential, especially in Bradshaw who will probably put up at least Ward's last year numbers (900 yards).... and that's with Jacobs healthy. Watch Jamaal Charles take over LJ's spot too. I'd say try to upgrade your WR2 as well. Trade Royal away while he still has value (orton couldn't throw as well as cutler does even without the dislocated finger, and Denver's been saying that Marshall won't be going anywhere), and package him with another wr or one of your rb's. Either Driver or Curtis serves well as your WR3, you dont need both since you have capable RBs to fill the flex. But I'm not a fan of the WR depth behind curtis. Rice is going to be overshadowed by berrian and harvin, and Branch is fighting for a roster spot, much less taking catches away from Housh and Burleson. Maybe look for a bit of upside with a WR3 from a team that uses 3WRs well, like Indy (Garcon or Collie... looks like Collie's winning that battle). Sorry, I know it was a mostly negative review, but I think if you make some moves your team will be a contender.

I looked and saw Gonzalez, Jackson, Royal and co. on the board when I deciding in the 5th round and figured they were all roughly in the same class and I would end up with one of them.
Rodgers, Romo went in round 4 and McNabb and Warner went in round 5 all ahead of where I drafted Rivers so I saw alot of value in taking him off the board in the late 5th round.

I think you are a bit thin at WR as you thought. Royal is a talent, but I don't think they have a QB to get the ball to him.
To be honest, I think going with Witten early instead of a WR may have been the one place I would have changed. I'm just not a big fan of drafting TE's so high as they are so inconsistent.

Thanks for helping me.
Yeah I see what you're saying, though I view Witten as a WR2 (after the top 10 WRs there is a large 2nd tier group imo) and the run on TEs happened in the early 5th before I would have been picking (Late 5th), so I reached by maybe 1/2 a round but it was a necessary reach if I wanted him.
These are WRs that in just after Witten - in .5ppr not sure that I like them much more than Royal - except for maybe Housh if Hasselbeck stays healthy and they gel.
