ha ha that would help wouldnt it. the top running backs aval. are listed as Dominic Rhodes, Mewelde Moore, Peyton HIllis (who i had then dropped), Maurice Morris,BenJarvus Green-Ellis, LaMont Jordan, Chris Perry, Ladell Betts

these arent arent attractive options. the only one i really could think of was picking up Hillis again. but that only does me good if moreno goes down

I would think Betts would get the most playing time out of all of them and Portis is known for going down quite often.

Yes. See if you can manage a mid level RB.

Maybe someone like Ray Rice or Reggie Bush.

Are you kidding me? Portis is one of the toughest backs in the league, aside from 06-07 the guy has missed 5 games in 6 years. And thats known for going down quite often? Why do people think of ONE injury and that automatically makes them injury prone? I just don't understand its happening more and more on these boards, Portis is far from injury prone and if he is he plays through it like a player whos being paid to play the game should do. And playing through those injuries hasn't affected his stats as, again outside of 06-07, hes fallen under 1300 rush yards ONCE and hovers around the 1700-1800 total yardage year in year out. That was a just about a bonehead comment to make that Betts would get the most PT because of a Portis injury.

And actually if you really wanted to look at the backs that would see the most time due to injury look no further then the Pitt back field or the Denver backfield. I garentee Moore and Jordan see more carries due to injury then any other back he listed.

As for the trade question, I would shoot high for a Ronnie Brown, Kevin Smith, Ryan Grant type player. Or better yet I would go after Marshawn Lynch, of course everyone knows about the suspension so the owner may have dropped his value down. More so tho I would look the rosters over and pick out the 2 teams that have A. the Weakest QB situation or B. the Weakest TE situation as those will be the 2 squads that will be more able to trade for what your offering...

A big thanks to deluxe_247 for the sweet sig!
