TE...Gates vs. Shiancoe

I know the obvious answer would appear to be Gates but I really like Shiancoe to have a big season with the addition of Brett Farve. Shiancoe has also had a very promising pre-season and Gates has missed the last three practices with "body soreness" although they say gates is healthy, I kind of want to give Shiancoe the start in Week 1.

Any thoughts?

You'd be crazy to start Shiancoe over Gates. Gates is finally healthy this year after being banged up big time the past 2 seasons. The guy could flirt with 1000+ yards and double digit TDs. You have to go Gates.

I believe Gates is going to have a big season, I don't beleive that Shiancoe will outperform Gates in fantasy points this season, but in week 1 versus cleveland, idk...just kind of have a hunch that Shiancoe might have a big game.

I'll most likely start Gates but it wouldn't surprise me to see Shiancoe post some big numbers in week 1 as well. I was just looking for some feedback....not "u are crazy"

I agree with starting Gates but I don't think it's crazy to consider Shiancoe

No Question Gates. Don't worry about matchups, start him every week as long as he's healthy and be happy you have him.
