New to FF....Grade my Rookie Team

12 Team redraft every year. It has typical cbs point settings with QB's getting 6pt for TD's. I picked in the 11th spot.
QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/TE, K, DST

QB Matt Schaub, Jason Campbell
RB Kevin Smith, Darren McFadden, Beanie Wells, Donald Brown, Glenn Coffee, James Davis
WR Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Chad Johnson, Josh Morgan, Chris Henry, Robert Meachem
DST Chargers Packers
K Matt Prater

Just curious. I did a month's worth of research it seems with a little help from my brother in law.
QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, K, DST

QB - M. Schaub, J. Campbell
RB - K. Smith, D. McFadden, C. Wells, D. Brown, G. Coffee, J. Davis
WR - R. Moss, C. Johnson, C. Ochocinco, C. Henry, J. Morgan, E. Bennett
K - M. Prater
DST - Chargers, Packers

Love the WRs, especially since you only need to start two of them. See if you can trade Moss or Calvin for a better RB because I don't like Smith as your RB1.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

Well on the position of WR/TE I really meant that you could either start a 3 wr or a te. Sorry for the confusion

I think smith will be ok as your RB1 if you can improve your RB2. I think you could package Ochocinco with a RB for a nice little upgrade. This would leave you a bit shaky at the WR/TE slot but I think someone like Chris Henry could fill in there nicely ;-D

I love your WR situation! You can't do a whole lot better. I don't see much reason for keeping Meachem right now (Nicks is a better Flier to spend a spot on) but other than that you are solid, almost too solid. Consider trading one of your top 3 for a high quality RB. As is though, this position alone will win you a lot of games.

At QB you should be good. Schaub should have a pretty solid year, nothing outrageous but good. Campbell is a sufficient backup and his schedule meshes very well with Schaub's.

At RB you're a little weak. Smith is not by any means a solid RB1 and the rest of your crew (save McFadden) is sharing time at RB. I like Davis as a starter past midseason but until he replaces Lewis, he won't have much value. More or less your other RBs are all like this. None are slated to be definite full time RBs for their teams but all can easily become so if they play well which is why you should be okay.

DST - Should be fine. I like the way the packer D looks this year and SD is solid too.

At kicker Prater should be fine. I really don't see the point in second guessing your Kicker selection until the season has started. Once a again, watch the waiver wire for potential sleepers.

Overall, the team is very good if a bit lopsided. I don't see any way this team will miss the playoffs if you manage them actively. Congratulations on a solid draft!
