Rate My First 3 picks...WHIR

Postby nimzox » Wed Sep 02, 2009 7:38 am

I just finished my draft last night and wanted to get some opinions on my first 3 picks. It's a ppr league and all TDs(passing receiving and rushing) are worth 6 points. I had the 8th pick in a snake draft.
1st rnd: Calvin Johnson
2nd rnd: Tom Brady
3rd rnd: McFadden

I was a little worried about picking Brady but I did it anyway. Do you guys think those were sound decisions or not? Thanks. As always, WHIR

I like Megatron I think though he's a bigger DEEP threat (less PPR points, more yards & TD's) so I may have gone with a receiving back like Slaton in round 1. Brady with 6 pt passing TD's is HUGE!! The best pick there for sure... esp in round 2 with that scoring system. I don't know how much McFadden catches it but for the 8th pick in the 3rd he's a solid value.

I think you picked up McFadden too early.

It's hard to say whether or not DMC was picked too early without seeing who was available but I do like the Brady pick and if Johnson put up good numbers with an average QB, just think what he will do with Stafford........

I like the Brady pick, but I agree, round 1 I'd have targeted Slaton at #8... I'd have gone for a WR later like Wes Welker or TJ Housh that rack up a lot of catches.

Help me please!

This. I don't like Calvin in the first, especially in this setup. The other two are good picks.

Megatron is an absolute stud. He had 12 TD's last year without a great QB throwing him the ball, he is unstoppable in the red zone. Brady, if completely healthy, will have a monster year.
You definitely have some work to do as far as your RB situation goes.
