Trade Ryan for Cutler ?

Postby Woodsy » Wed Sep 02, 2009 9:22 am

I was just offered Cutler for Matt Ryan. He wants to throw in either Brandon Marshall or Reggie Bush. I think Culter has had a pretty good pre season but as of now Ryan is my starter. This is a standing scoring league
Start- 1QB,2WR,2RB,1Flex,1K,1DEF
Standard Scoring, except bonus points for long plays and defense which is 10 pts for a TD, 3 pts for a sk, int or fum rec. 8 team keeper league

I really think Cutler is the safer pick this year (Ryan may have more upside) so I would take the deal, especially if he is throwing in Marshall or Bush. I was avoiding those players in the draft but they could both be a solid flex play, especially when you're getting one as a throw in for swapping two fairly even QBs.

My only concern is the lack of wr's in Chicago. I like Roddy White and I think he will have a good year, Chicago dosen't have that type of receiver. Really not sure which way to go.

If he throws in Brandon Marshall I think you gotta jump on it... and Bush too. All around I think it's a good deal for you.

Look at Orton's numbers last year he was very useful until his injury mid season. I don't understand what all this raving about the Bears wr's affecting Cutler is about. They are quick as can be and he has 2 awesome receiving TE's and Forte to throw the ball too as well. It's an even trade straight up if you ask me there's no guarantees the Falcons will throw the ball more than they did last year but then he wants to give you Bush or Marshall??? Take the trade and enjoy, also watch the Bears previous two pre season games if you already haven't that offense is going to surprise a whole lot of people this season

Not really saying they dont have any wr's just none as good as White. Im leaning toward taking the Ryan and Marshall deal, Im hoping Marshall gets traded soon and that would make it easier.
