Which Defense for week 1? Sea Vs. Stl or NO Vs. Det?

Should I start Seattle Defense against St. Louis or the New Orleans Defense against Detroit?

I am in the exact same position as you. I am playing the ww and the top defenses out there for me were Sea (v StL), NO(v Det), Cin(v Den), and Hou(v NYJ). I did an analysis of how those teams opponent's first units did in the preseason, and here are the results.

Based on the preseason first team offense, St.Louis offensive line is expected to allow 3.4 sacks in 4Q, with no turnovers, but the are expected to score 22 points. The Vegas line has StL at 18 pts, with Seattle winning by 7.

Based on the preseason first team offense, Det offensive line is expected to allow 1.6 sacks in 4Q, with 1.5 turnovers, and they are expected to score 11 points. The Vegas line has Det at 18 pts as well, with NO winning by 11.5.

Based on this, I could see Detroit raking up the yards in garbage time in that NO game. If your league counts yards, you might want to stay away from NO. I could see StL giving up more sacks, and thus turnovers. That's why I chose Sea.
