What is an even swap for M. Ryan?

Postby dja11ravens » Wed Sep 02, 2009 3:25 pm

i have M. ryan and M. turner and i am looking to trade ryan. i feel he is below the top tier qb's but probably more valuable than the bottom. who do you think would be an even trade qb wise for ryan?

I don't think that you are going to get many opinions on this, my perception is that Ryan is going to be a fantasy stud this year.

thanks. its not so much that i dont like ryan but i am not big on having a situation where you have a qb and a rb from the same team. you are then relying on that team to put up big numbers every week and when they face a good d you could be in trouble. im with you though keeping him isnt a horrible thing.

Could be of more help looking at your roster but Ryan could be big this year, wether you are a fan or not of having 2 starters from the same team you can't ignore the potential for fantasy points.

Exactly, and besides him handing off to Turner- don't forget about him throwing to White and Gonzalez and even Jenkins, oh the yard's!

you obviously had Turner at the time you drafted Ryan, so you felt like he was either the best player, or best Qb available at the time...

you gotta go with him unless are blown away by an offer. I think he could have a huge year... but still in a category of unknown. I think C. Palmer is the one QB of the mid-tier that will be top-5 assuming him and receivers stay healthy. Their D and running game sucks, so they will rely on airing it out and trying to come from behind... plus they have a number of solid options. I think Ryan and Palmer are totally different situations, but could have similar outputs in the end.

i think the league that i am in scores different then any i have seen. we actually start two qb's per week and longer touchdowns are worth more points (0-29yds=6, 30-49yds=9) which puts qb's in high demand. the only move i thought could help would be ryan and another player for one of the top 5 qb's. you guys make a lot of good points. thanks a lot
