First 3 picks WR's

Postby jammoe » Wed Sep 02, 2009 4:38 pm

In all the mock drafts I've done before my draft, I liked every team I have mocked at the #1 #2, or #9 #10 position in a 10 team league. So I was disappointed to draw the #6 pick in my draft. I had planned on doing the opposite if I pulled the #6,7,8,9, or 10, in the thought I could find some value in RB's later in the draft. Fitz was the pick in the first round, then had to choose between Calvin Johnson, or Andre Johnson in the second ( I wanted Brees, but him and Brady where gone) so I took Andre Johnson. Coming back the RB's were not appealing over Jennings, so I took him. After three rounds, I have Fitz, AJ, and Jennings as my starting trio of WR's.... pretty sweet, yet pretty scary. Again I find no value at running back so I turn to QB.... with Brees, Brady, Payton, and Rivers gone, and a no doubt QB run to come I snag Rogers. So the fifth round is a must take RB for me and the best ranked back is Kevin Smith, which I'm not real high on, but what can I do, I dug this hole. Here are the rest of my backs.... Addai, Moreno, McFadden, Reggie Bush, Leon Washington. Not a PPR league, but we do get one point for every ten yards rushed or received. Based on what you see, are any of these runningbacks going to stand out or am I going to have to play match-ups all year long? And as I'll agree it wasn't my best draft, can my arial attack get me to the playoffs?

You may be playing match ups, but you could have done a lotttttttt worse. All your RBs have a chance to break out and shine, and i think at least 2 will, maybe not Bush since there is no PPR, but congrats on going against the grain!

You did fine. I don't Jones as RB1, but you have 3 STUD Wr's and a great QB.

I'd try to get a RB1 for Jennings and Moreno or or Jennings and McFadden.
