Draft is over for my 14 Team H2H Standard Yahoo League (1 Keeper) and i drafted Felix Jones in the 8th Round (107 Overall) and was hoping McCoy would come around in the 9th.. he went 1 pick before me at 120...AHH!
I was thining of trying to rectify this and try to trade Felix for McCoy straight up. Below are the details. Please leave a link as I always help in return!
After the draft i'm looking at my team and I have three solid RB's to start at RB1, RB2 and Flex
Forte Grant McFadden
He was crazy and drafted Brady and Peyton Manning in Rd 1 and 2... leaving himself with no star RB.. so for RB he has:
Willie Parker Willis McGahee Lawrence Maroney Edgerrin James
Looks like he'll be playing a WR at the Flex..heh.
I also have Shonn Greene as a backup RB. I think Felix will be better than last year but even if Barber goes down i dont think he takes over the #1 Job (Tashard Choice?) I see him as a 3rd down change of pace back (a la Leon Washington) and he is what he is. McCoy, on the other hand, loooked REAL good in the preseaon games i watched and has a DIRECT line to the starting job if/when Westy goes down... even if westbrook DOESNT go down, this is a keeper league and McCoy will have some serious value next year..
I think i can afford to give up a potential good Flex play (and bye week filler) for a rookie with high upside..
am i making a stupid mistake? What would you do?
14 Team H2H Non PPR - Standard Scoring w/ 6pt TDs Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, RB/WR/TE, TE, K, DEF
QB: M Ryan (M Stafford) WR: C Johnson, M Williams (SEA) (M Crabtree) RB: A Foster, R Rice, R Mathews (F Jackson, M Hart, D Ward) TE: J Witten K: R Bironas D: NYG
i think that you should hope neither jones/mccoy ever touches your starting line-up and is really just a personal choice at that point. low risk = low reward. high risk = higher potential. gotta decide which way you like to fly.

It's a tough call....you do have plenty of depth at RB so it's not huge, but with it being keeper I'd rather have McCoy then Felix. I agree with West going down before Barber, and if Barber does Jones and Choice are there, in Philly it's only McCoy after West...
