Who to Pick with # 5 overall pick in 14 Team PPR league

Postby aauball » Wed Sep 02, 2009 10:12 pm

I am in a 14 Team PPR league and I have the # 5 pick overall. I am trying to figure out who I should pick first. I am pretty sure that AP, MJD, M.Turner, Forte are going to get picked in the first 4 picks.

So my thoughts are should I pick up a Drew Brees or Larry Fitzgerald or Andre Johnson with my 1st round pick or should I pick up a Steven Jackson or D.Williams, Chris Johnson?

When should I grab a QB since I know Manning, Brees and Brady will all be gone early?

Please help me out. My draft is tomorrow night.

Thank you.

Considering the health issues for Carolina's Jonathan Stweart (achilles/heel) I think that DeAngelo Williams is the pick at #5 if the other top 4 are gone.

I think it's too early for a QB at that point, there's plenty of value for you there later on. As for the top WR's, you should be able to get a good one (Greg Jennings, Steve Smith?) when the draft comes back to you at #24.

So you think I should pass on Fitzgerald and Brees and grab Jonathan Stewart?

It is really going to depend on who is available.

Don't touoch Brees or Fitz there.

I have them
ADP
MJD
Deangelo
Forte
Turner
LT

You are probably going to have to chose from one of the last 4 guys on that list. In all honesty they all have pluses and minuses and all should be solid players this year. I grabbed Deangelo at 5 but feel there is risk in that pick.

Forte is said to be losing some carries to Jones but I haven't seen it in the pre season.

Turner was a stud last year and is looking solid in the PS. The questions is how many TD's does Gonzo vulture.

LT has not looked good in the PS but this guy has been the #1 guy for a while. You mean to tell me a year and a toe injury has dropped him down out of the discussion. There is a ton ov value with LT here. Youo could be grabing the top RB at the 5 spot.

NOOO, dont grab J Stewart!! Go with D Williams there imo, i think jennings will more than likely be there (i grabbed wayne and jennings in the 2nd/3rd rd and I picked 2nd overall) and I think he's gonna go absolutely nuts this year!

rate my first ever ppr draft!! viewtopic.php?f=44&t=443153
