Pick up James Davis? Drop who? WHIR

10 team, IDP/PPR league

I have a pretty nice setup at RB, but if Davis breaks into the starter role it's possible I could use him as trade bait down the road if needed.

RB - MJD, D. Williams, Felix Jones, Donald Brown, Ray Rice, Hillis
WR - Ocho Stinko, Royal, Harvin, Bess
TE - Shockey, Vernon Davis
K - who cares
DL - Suggs, Kampman, Rogers
LB - DJ Williams, Timmons, David Harris
DB - Otogwe, Reed, Rodgers-Cromartie


So if you were picking up Davis who would you drop? ... we have to carry 3 IDP players for each position ... I'm thinking of dropping Vernon Davis myself

I'm hangin on to Hillis ... yeah I'm a Bronco fan but I think this guy is going to get his this year. He is versatile and can be used in so many ways.

I think you should get rid of Hillis. Davis could finally put his athleticism to use after another year of Singletary calling out his BS. Hillis on the other hand will likely never sniff your starting line-up.

In response to keeping Hillis, that backfield is so crowded. Moreno will get the bulk of the carries and you have Buckhalter there as a proven veteran to spell him. Hillis showed some promise last year, I just think he's too far buried on the depth chart to have an impact this year.

Get rid of Vernon Davis, no question. I agree with the others that Hillis would be the other option, but given your feeling on him, Vernon Davis is your choice and I wouldn't think twice about it.

If Moreno has a big year, Hillis will suddenly turn into a non-factor. Kind of like the battery of Oakland RBS where Fargas was really good and all of a sudden Lamont Jordan and others were riding the pine.
