Alright here is my quandary. Someone has offered me Kevin Walter and Darren Sproles for Leon Washington and Chad Ochocinco.
Now having the handcuff for LT would be very nice I worry that giving up Washington may hurt me. I think he is going to have a good year. But the question is still there, should I accept and get the handcuff or not?
I think you have to stay put. It would be nice to have the handcuff but I think Ocho is going to have a big year and washington is poised to take over if jones cant get it done.
From NY Daily News The Jets reportedly haven't discussed a contract extension with Leon Washington in "more than three weeks." Washington is still playing like a man possessed in his contract year, averaging 6.3 yards per preseason carry with six catches for 40 more yards and a touchdown. New deal or not, he's going to have a very big role this year.
I'm not letting this guy go. Big talk here in NY about this guy being heavily involved in the offense as well as special teams...
I would do what I could to get Sproles, even if it means giving up Washington, but giving 85 on top for Walter is too lopsided. If I had LT, I would want Sproles. I think LT will be hurt at some point this year, and having Sproles will be huge for you as he is not much of a downgrade IMO. I like Leon a lot but Sproles has more value to you. Offer him Leon+Holt for Walter+Sproles
Although the cuff is nice, losing Ocho as well is too much. Besides, Washington will play hard all season to showcase his talents to other teams and he is a big piece in the Jets offense whether he is running, receiving or on special teams so at this point in time I would say leave it.
no way i'd trade washington for sproles. washington will be a major part of the jets' offense, and he is a stud on special teams. while i'm not as big on ocho as some of the others are, i'd rather have him and washington over sproles and walter.
