QB: Hasselbeck RB: M. Turner RB: R. Brown WR: A. Boldin WR: B. Berrian TE: Tony G W/T: I. Bruce W/R: L. Johnson K: J. Feeley DEF: Green Bay D: P. Willis D: L. Briggs
BENCH: M. Schaub, L. Coles, P. Crayton, H. Nicks, E. Graham, & P. Hillis
I think its pretty strong...also, would you start Bruce or Coles?
I would probably start Schaub as well. All around it's just "okay" in my opinion. I hate Ronnie Brown to be honest, I'd rather take a chance on Moreno or someone else in that range. As far as debating between Berrian and Coles I would just watch how they perform. I'd start with Berrian and see how it goes.
Overall, it's not too bad. Schaub and Hasselbeck aren't sure-fire Fantasy stars, but at least one of them should pan out. I like Ronnie Brown down there as long as they are running the Wildcat. Berrian is a bit of a weak WR2 and Favre stinks at this point, so hopefully Hakeem Nicks is a good sleeper for you like I think he will be.
I'm not thrilled with Tony Gonzalez at TE this year because he's usually a reach and you maybe could have gotten a better receiver. It's a tough call, though. On the bright side, Gonzo is really good.
Thanks guys...if you read my second post you'll see that I recently traded away Tony and Coles for Dallas Clark so hopefully that pans out the way I predict.
I know my WRs arent that strong but that is because I always draft 2 RB first before touching a WR...just my style. But I'm hoping things develop
I think your team is very solid. Personally I wouldn't have done the trade as you traded away WR depth for a pretty much even move at TE, but your team is solid. I think that both of your RBs will be top 10 RBs this year, and in a 12 man league, having two of those is a great luxury. Your QBs are fine. I'd start Shaub over Hassy, but I really think Hassy will have a good year this year with Whosyourmama coming to Seattle. Your WRs are also solid. I think Berrian will have a very nice year this year. Harvin is the real deal, but Berrian will be Favre's WR1. And duh, Boldin is still Boldin. You should be in the playoffs.
I agree your strong IF.... Hasselback performs as we think he will in 2009 and as long as you don't mind playing the game of wich QB to start if Schaub get hot again (I think he will and it will be a nice problem to have...LOL).
That said, you have great depth and quality players so good luck against injuries and enjoy the season.
If you love something, let it go....
If it loves you, it will come back to you...
If it doesn't come back to you...
You can always hunt it down and kill it....
I agree, definitely start Shaub; I wouldn't have made the trade you did this early - I think Gonzalez/Clark is a wash, so Coles was just a throw away; I hope it works in your favor. I'm not a big fan of Ronnie either since 5 of his TD's came in one monster of a game for him...we'll see if he can be consistant for a season. All in all I think it's a decent team.
