12 Team, PPR, BIG money.....need help, WHIR

Postby freshlesh » Fri Sep 04, 2009 10:02 am

Hey guys.... The forum has helped me in the past and I hope it can again this year. What do you think of my roster? I know it's not perfect, but it's a $500 per team league and EVERYONE knows how to play the game. Thanks for the help....

Scoring... PPR, 1pt 10yd rsh, 1pt 15yd rec, 1pt 25yd pass, 6pt any TD

We also get 3pt bonuses for any player with over 100yd rsh or rec or 300yd pass....

QB: P. Manning
RB1: AP (I had first pick)
RB2: Knowshon Moreno
WR1: Steve Smith
WR2: Bernard Berrian
Flex: Donald Brown
TE: Witten
K: Mason Crosby
D: NY Giants

Bench: J. Delhomme, Chester taylor, Fred Taylor, C. Buckhalter, Chris Henry (WR), Shown Greene

Thanks again, guys!

Well, Peyton Manning is Peyton Manning so you don't need much analysis there...The same goes for Adrian Peterson.
Knowshon could do pretty well this year, but he's a bit of a question mark...the same goes for Taylor and Buckhalter. In a 12-team league, though, I guess you have to settle for that though. If you have the opportunity to grab another quality RB, go for it.
Steve Smith of the Panthers (I hope he's the one you have) is a stud, and Berrian could be in for a big year. Otherwise, I think that Henry is going to do well this year. Also, Witten is a good TE. At your flex spot you might be able to do better than Brown, but once the season gets going and you see how he produces you'll be able to make a decision on that.

I think its a very solid team.... the only question marks I would have are moreno as your #2 and also having brown at your flex. If you are loooking to trade that would be where to go. Help me out?

Yeah, there's good things and bad things. Peyton, ADP, and SSmith ... GOOD! Witten and Giants are obviously good, though I have to wonder if taking them early hurt you in other places. As noted, Moreno and Brown are question marks. Since they have to be in your starting lineup, you have little margin for error. Even if one doesn't pan out, that's a big hole in your lineup. I like the Taylors and Henry on your bench. Covers ADP and Fred could score surprisingly well this year ... Henry could score well too. Having elite players at QB, RB1, WR1, and TE helps with getting bonus points.
