The Worst Trade Ever?

Postby tmoney26 » Fri Sep 04, 2009 5:33 pm

I say this ranks up there at the top.

This guy in my league just traded deangelo williams, j.morgan, m.bennett for j.lewis, s.holmes, and j.gage.

To me the only players involved in this trade are williams and holmes. Basically the guy traded a top 7 or 8 back for 20ish wr. And it wasn't like the guy was stacked at rb. So here is his team now

qb- a.rodgers, m.ryan,
rb- b.jacobs, addai, lewis, sproles
wr- gonzalez, b.edwards, holmes, driver, bryant, gage
te- boss

10 team ppr league. I sent him an offer for rodgers and gonzo or edwards for cutler and colston. IMO that would have been a much better trade for him. Guess every league needs a donater.

Just curious, have you seen worse?

That's absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible...way to shift power in the league before the season even starts.

While this isn't a great trade, it isn't totally unreasonable. Here's why. He lacked depth in wr and depending on what team's offenses he likes he may like the Titans, and Steelers passing game better this year. While Dwill had a great year last year, it was still one season, and they have a tough schedule this year, as well as two competent rb's behind him. He also is probably a bit enamored with Holmes after his super bowl play and sees him as a undervalued player. Who knows really but it isn't a trade that would hint of collusion but more so of owners seeing value in different teams/players. :-?

come on now, im not saying theres cheaters here, but come on seriously?

Michael Bennett has no purpose to be on ANY fantasy rosters, hell hes at best RB3 in SD and possibly RB4 if they choose to go with Hester over him.

With that said your telling me that if he was going for WR that Holmes is that great of a receiver??? come on, Morgan equals out Gage, so your basically left with Lewis and Holmes for DWill. Who in their RIGHT mind would do that? Lewis may not even see that much action this year and if he doesn't then that leaves Holmes straight up for DWill. Thats pure idiocy there....
