Welker/Jackson for Jackson/Moreno PPR

Postby steveeray69 » Fri Sep 04, 2009 5:44 pm

So this trade I proposed was just accepted. I will be sending Vincent Jackson and Knowshon Moreno out and receiving Wes Welker and Fred Jackson

My thinking was that Welker is a PPR standout and fits perfectly into my roster.

Roster before the trade:
QB: Cutler, Bigben
RB:Sjax,Portis, Fred Taylor, Knowshon Moreno, Jerious Norwood
WR: Dwayne Bowe, Eddie Royal, Vincent Jackson, Kevin Walter, Nate Washington
TE: Zach Miller
K: Elam
DEF: NYJ

we start 2 rb, 2 wr and 1 flex so the average week ill be starting Sjax,Portis, Bowe, Royal, and Welker at those positions which in a PPR league I think looks pretty strong. The value of Fred Jackson is sorta in limbo but I feel like I get the best player in this deal, feedback!

I'm not a big believer in Moreno (or any Den RB for that matter since they are always hurt)....plus I think Hillis turns out to be the stronger RB in the Mile High City so.....I think you did a very well trade since Welker is a PPR monster and with Brady back he will flourish with receptions again!

I do however dislike your RB depth so I would look somewhere to find another RB. FJax will only be good for the first few weeks (and that's an if) and then you have Taylor (in a pass first team and with 5 other RB's....lol, and then you have Serious Jerious who is good but won't be a viable starter if one of your top RB's go down unless Turner goes down).....look to upgrade at RB or obtain a decent RB for depth and I think you will be set.....but nice trade!

Good Luck!

I get the thinking, but even with the 40 points you gain from Welker to Vincent (70 vs 110 receptions) you will more than double that with Moreno over Fred. Lynch is the main man in Buffalo and he will be when he returns without question. I don't do this deal.

ya i mean i get that it may not be a huge point swing but on what weeks besides byes am I not gonna start sjax and portis unless they get hurt in which case I am prolly sunk anyway. Oh and return yards count in this league too though im sure norwood will be off returns.
