RIVERS, K.SMITH, OR GRANT?

Postby ffootball05 » Sat Sep 05, 2009 1:17 am

Okay I posted one a couple weeks back and you guys helped me. Now I have made a pre-draft trade and have different players. My keepers are Moss, Boldin, and Barber. All along I was thinking RB without a doubt, but after looking at last years fantasy numbers in this league, QB's score a ton. Brady, Brees, Warner, Romo, and Rodgers are all being held. Rivers is best available. Should i pass on QB and grab Grant or Smith or take Rivers? Jennings is also available and can grab him as a flex player. My draft is Sunday and would really appreciate any advice.

Well, if Rivers is the best available and if you do not have a QB...

I think I would still take a RB here (Grant) and try and grab a QB on the way back. You figure you have 2 great WR's already, a good RB (I'm not too fond of MBIII) and there are some decent lower round QB's, RB's, WR's.....but if you take Grant then I would suspect there most likely will be a couple of decent QB's on your next pick and then you will be set having a couple of good guys in each position.

BTW.....what QB's are left? I think it would depend on whose left. I mean Rivers is probably the last of the greats but I still like guys like Palmer, Cutler, Shaub, Ryan, etc.... so if they are available then I would pick Grant and hit a QB or 2 in the next rounds followed by another RB or 2 and a couple more WR's.

Good Luck!
