Postby FFMama » Sat Sep 05, 2009 10:46 am

I had the #5 draft spot.

We start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1DST

QB - Rivers, Roethlisberger
RB - Forte, K. Smith, T. Jones, D. Sproles, F. Taylor
WR - C. Johnson, Welker, Berrian, Galloway, Ginn Jr., J Nelson
TE - Winslow
K - Akers
DST - Tennessee
"The Other Ones" 9-4
(#1 in my league)

You look solid all around. You're probably going to be a playoff team, barring any catastrophic injuries.

You're solid at QB, but I think I would have waited to get a Matt Ryan type guy and get a better RB2. I actually drafted Smith in one of my 10 team leagues, but I drafted him as my 3rd back...It depends on how your league scores, but sense Rivers is such a desirable QB, I would try to get Matt Ryan/Schaub type packaged with a top 10 RB and see what you can get. I think that either one of those guys (especially Ryan.) will perform as well as Rivers and if you can get a Jackson, Gore, or Slaton type RB and you would be unstoppable. As you stand now, I think you'll do well in a 10 team league, but I don't think you dominate.

I also had the #5 spot in a 10 team PPR league. Surprised Forte fell to 5. In my league, MJD went first and Forte second, followed by ADP.

So anyway. I like your QB situation. RB2 is weak. Was K Smith a round 4 pick? If you took Rivers in Round 4 and Smith in round 5, I think you would have done better to take your RB2 at 4.4

I love Welker in a PPR format.

QB: B+
RB: C+
WR: B+ (good starters but depth is suspect)
TE: B
K: B
DST: A-
