Hey everyone; wondering if you can rate my roster and give me any advice. I think I'm a little weak at the WR and TE positions; and possibly could trade Barber to get an upgrade somewhere. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
Standard non-ppr 10 person Yahoo.com league, starting 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 k, 1 def.
Qb: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan Rb: Matt Forte, Marion Barber, Ryan Grant, Knowshown Moreno, Felix Jones Wr: Andre Johnson, Wes Welker, Chad Ochocinco, Desean Jackson, Lance Moore Te: Kellen Winslow K: Jason Elam Def: Dallas
Looks very good to me Rodgers should be a top3-4 QB this year. RB1 is a solid every week play as is your WR1 and WR2. You can roll your RB2 and WR3 to the best matchups/hot hand of your bench. I've got the same TE, hope he does all right, but that and the D are kind of fluid positions anyway. Good luck...seems like a big part of it to me.
I wouldn't touch your roster, it looks great as it is. You will want that extra man at RB for depth. Your WRs are solid. Your TE could be better, but in non-PPR, don't sweat it.
Are you kidding... I think you have an EXCELLENT team and don't see a thing to adjust. You have depth at QB, RB, and just need to stay on top of avaialble players in case of injury. You could dangle your back up QB for another WR as long a some reliable QB's are on the WW...but I'm not sure I'd even do that. Leave a real good thing alone.... for now!
If you love something, let it go....
If it loves you, it will come back to you...
If it doesn't come back to you...
You can always hunt it down and kill it....
Fantastic team. Rodgers Forte and AJohn are like the hottest picks right now. I'm not crazy about Marion Barber. Maybe packaging him with a way overrated DSean can get you an upgrade at RB #2. Grant is in my doghouse, but I like Moreno as a good backup.
I agree that this is a great team to have. I love the Rodgers/Ryan tandem, and I think you're solid at RB as well - as long as Forte gives us another year like last year, and Grant reasserts himself as a top RB (I think both will happen). Not sure about Barber, but there are worse RB's in a committee situation. Johnson is a stud, and Welker has Brady back. I think your backups can be good, depending on the weekly match ups. Not a bad job at all.
I would take that team in a heartbeat. As far as the TE, see what happens. I dont think he's weak enough to drag your team down, but TE's are deep this year, so if someone else jumps out, grab them.

Dude!!! Are you kidding me?!?! Was anybody else in the draft? lol
Great job drafting man, I want this team in my PPR league. If you are really looking for a move to make, I might try packaging Ryan (you won't need him with Rodgers) and Welker (better in PPR leagues) for whoever you think the top WR is, Fitzgerald, Jennings, White... One that scores more TD's than Welker might.
If you left the team the way it is, I think you'd still have a great season and have a very good chance of winning it all.
Thanks everybody for the criticism and the compliments; really appreciate it!
SirGrotius: Thanks a bunch! The funny thing is my opinion of Barber is swayed a bit since I'm a Cowboys fan (and he's one of my faves lol); but I totally know what you're saying; I didn't even think to try to get an even better RB 2! I do have faith that barber is going to get enough goal line TD's and passes out of the backfield to make up for being in a 3 pronged running attack; but we'll see of course. Grant is in my doghouse as well; I'm hoping for a great season; last year he was my 2nd round pick a few times, and that wasn't fun haha.
Mrpu: Thanks man! Haha; some of the other teams are solid, but I'm assuming that not everyone in this draft has a ton of FF experience. I actually drafted in spot number 4; which to me, is the spot I most like. I was able to get Rodgers in the 5th round after taking Welker in the 4th; I was overjoyed lol.
Tkcatch: That's a great suggestion; if someone were willing to give me a top 10 wideout for Grant and Welker; I'd certainly bite. I really like Welker; I was just afraid that his TD total won't be very high, which you alluded to.
