Should I bench LJ vs. Baltimore?

Postby hammertoes » Sun Sep 06, 2009 1:27 pm

I'm going into the season projecting Larry Johnson to be my weekly flex play. The only problem is.... he goes against Baltimore week 1, an extremely tough matchup.

Would you play any of the following guys over him?

Derrick Ward vs. Dallas
Ahmad Bradshaw vs. Washington
Steve Breaston vs. San Fransisco
Ted Ginn at Atlanta

My Team:
10 team keeper league / Head-to-head / No PPR

Hmmm. None of them are particularly appealing. I wouldnt start LJ though, no with the horrid KC O-line against BAL with a pass-first coach. I'd say my top two choices would be Ginn and Bradshaw, and honestly I'd flip a coin between those two if it were me, because its about even in my mind.

I really don't like any of your options, but if I had to choose I would go with Bradshaw. If you want a sneaky 1 week plugin for the flex, take a look at Mike Bell...Pierre and Reggie are both banged up and questionable for week 1 @ DET. If Pierre doesn't play and Reggie gets limited touches Bell could have a great game. Even if Reggie plays a lot and Pierre doesn't Bell will get the junk yards in the second half running down the clock and goal line carries.....just all depends on Pierre playing or not. (early reports sound like he won't play week 1)

Has your opinion changed at all since it was announced today that Cadillac would be the starter week 1?

No. First of all nobody runs on Baltimore. Especially an awful team like KC. Caddy may be named the starter, but I think Ward is their best back and will see most of the carries.
