Best Draft Ever...rate my team

Postby FanFootHeadBusta » Sun Sep 06, 2009 3:52 pm

I had the first pick in a 10 team standard scoring league. Starting Roter = QB, RB, WR, TE, FLEX, FLEX, FLEX

Player name (Round Selected)

Jay Cutler (6)
Carson Palmer (8)

Adrian Peterson (1)
Pierre Thomas (4)
Darren McFadden (5)
Jonathon Steward (7)
Chester Taylor (9)
Rashard Mendenhall (10)
Shonn Greene (17)

Andre Johnson (2)
Calvin Johnson (3)
Donnie Avery (11)
Lance Moore (12)
Steve Breaston (13)
Jeremy Maclin (15)

I was shocked to get Andre and Calvin at 20 and 21. Luckily, the owners in front of me grabbed Manning, Barber III, Moss, Westbrook, and Portis (in that order).

My team is loaded with potential, but I am a little uncomfortable with my running backs. Thomas is hurt, McFadden isn't the starter yet, and Stewart is still gimpy. Hopefully one of them pulls through and lives up to the hype. What do you think?

Obviously, your WR situation is awesome. Thing is, by standard scoring, that indicates that it's non-PPR, which would usually lean me towards taking the best RBs that I could find. After ADP, you're in a tad bit of trouble at the position that will usually mean most to you at the end of the year. I have Thomas rated rather high, but he's at the lower level of RB2 for me. Good news is that you have Run DMC and I think that he will be the workhorse a little later in the season. You have a ton of potential in your RB slot, so you should be fine.

Also, your QB situation would have me a little worried. Cutler will be solid, but doesn't have Royal and Marsha to throw to. Palmer should be a sleeper pick, but who knows, it's the bungles. Personally, I would look at trading one of your stud WRs and one of your QBs for a WR2 and a better QB, to solidify your team. In non-PPR, QB and RB have the highest chances of giving you points. WRs will be hot and cold.

Overall, I give your team right now a B-. It's just my 2 cents though.
