I like it overall. There was no clear pick in round 4 and I wasn't thrilled taking Grant there, but that's what I did. I think between all my RBs I can fill my RB spots and both flex spots pretty comfortably every week so my WR depth shouldn't be a big issue. I think some people might question taking Schaub and Palmer in back to back rounds but I love having 2 high-ceiling guys to rotate against weaker defenses. One guy took both Brees and Brady...and another guy has Romo on the block. I'm wondering if it'd be worthwhile to offer out some trades for them, or stick with what I have?
First of all, you are fine at QB. Between Shaub and Palmer you have atleast one QB that will fall in the top 5-10. I wouldn't trade for Brady or Brees. I would just let that guy suffer with his secound or first round pick having to be benched every week. Like you said, reciever depth is a little thing, but you only have to start two because you have alot of backs who will produce in the flex spots. Strong defense.
Is jermichael finley available as a TE. I would definantly pick him up over donald lee if you could.
RB: Great! You have both elite players and depth...well done. WR: Good. Solid players but limited depth. But, as stated before, not a problem as long as they stay healthy. TE: Olsen is solid DEF: Great....especially since you waited til 13th round K: Who cares
That leaves the QB spot. It certainly isn't bad. I'm just not sold on Schaub. I might be wrong, but I've avoided him in all my drafts. Palmer is a reliable vet and has the potential for a big bounce-back season...but he certainly isn't a sure thing. Now, even with my dislike of Schaub, I wouldn't feel too bad starting the season with the combo of Schaub and Palmer. I also agree that it doesn't make any sense to go after Brees or Brady (they will be way too expensive and the other guy should have to live with his mistake). But, if I were you, I would consider going after Romo. I certainly wouldn't overpay for him, but if you could package Schaub and one of your lower tier RB's for Romo, I think that would be a deal worth doing.
Yeah, I wouldnt worry about your qb situation you will be fine. You do have a solid set of rbs topped by mjd. I have a feeling that K. Smith is gonna get a lot of touches with a rookie qb. Wr is thin but if Moss and C. Johnson can put numbers up like they are capable of then you will be fine. I love G. Olsen and think he is gonna have a huge year. Defense that gets to the qb but doesnt get many turnovers, but possible that they can put up good numbers. Overall, very solid team.
“You be the Magic Man, and I’ll be El Diablo.” “What’s that mean?” “I think it’s spanish for fighting chicken.”
Your team looks fine to me. You will be alright at QB and you might want to dump Flacco and grab a position player if anyone decent is still available. I also agree that you should drop D Lee too.
